African Union rejects foreign military intervention in Libya

The African Union has named the leaders of South Africa, Uganda, Mauritania, Congo and Mali to form a panel that will travel to Libya shortly to open dialogue in the hope of bringing the turmoil to an end.

It has to be noted that the Union in its meeting on the 10th March rejected the notion of military intervention in Libya.
