A smiling Fabrice Muamba is discharged from hospital

The Zaire born English premier league football player collapsed almost a month ago when he suffered a cardiac arrest during a game between his side Bolton and Tottenham.

Fabrice’s heart stopped as he fell to the ground during the game which was later abondoned. It later transpired that his heart stopped for a total of 78 minutes.

After his discharge he thanked the medical staff and well wishers.

The photo above shows Fabrice shaking hands with Dr Andrew Deaner as well as consultant cardiologist Dr Sam Mohiddin, both from Barts Health NHS Trust.
