This is how the seller describes the product:”These reclaimed vintage armchairs which I covered in worn vintage coffee bean bags.
The chairs are ‘sold as seen’ - I love them dearly and hate to part with them! We made them to suit our studio, but have been inundated with requests to sell them and make them etc…so we’re going to start doing that! These are the first two, we have some more up our sleeve, but they are different shapes to these two beauties.”
Now I find these very interesting but I wonder if others do as well. I recall seeing lots of these “bean bags” and “cocoa bags” as a child in West Africa. The material is by no means ”silk” so it may not seem that comfortable but in iterms of recycling and re-using things this seems like a fantastic idea. The sofas look unique and quaint .
