My Tram Experience: “Go back to where you came from”

In the video below taken by a passenger on what seems to be a mobile phone, a British woman, Emma West rants about the number of “ethnics” – ethnic minorities (Black, Asians etc) in her city London. She states they are not British and “should go back home”.

The video of the 34 year old has now been viewed by millions on YouTube and she has been charged with a racially-aggravated public order offence.

Here rants may have landed her in hot water, but I suspect many more “indigenous” Britonss share her views but are perhaps not brazen enough to air them publicly.

Ethnic minorities are set to make up 20% of the UK population by 2051 compared with 8% in 2001 a study predicts. Overall according to the country’s statistics gurus (the Office of National Statistic) Britain’s ethnic minority population has risen by nearly 40 per cent in just eight years. To many this is a very worrying trend.

What do you think? Emma West may have broken racially-aggravated laws but is she right as an “indigenous” Briton to be worried about the changing demographics of her country and city?

Since the 1980s, the majority of black immigrants into Britain have come from Africa, in particular, Nigeria and Ghana in West Africa , Uganda and Kenya in East Africa, Zimbabwe and South Africa in Southern Africa.
