Is the Arab spring beginning to unravel? Could it have been wishful thinking to have expected democracy and respect for human rights to have been fully embeded in Egypt by now?
For three days in a row protesters in Egypt have demonstrated and camped out on the streets of Cairo and in Tahrir Square in defiance of Egypt’s military rulers. The protesters are frustrated at the military leadership that replaced ousted dictator Hosni Mubarak in February. Human right abuses have not dissappeared as expected and several protesters are worried the military may not hand over power as expected in elections expected to be held on the 28th November 2011.
