Tracking the Lords Resistance Army (LRA) atrocities in real time

One of Uganda’s most intractable wars has now got its own real-time mapping and data collection platform. The LRA Crisis Tracker  is a real-time mapping platform and data collection system created to bring LRA atrocities to light.

Ushahidi (Swahili for testimony) were one of the first to develope a crisis tracker in Africa. Their’s began life as an incident tracker for documenting political and ethnic violence in Kenya in 2008.

The LRA tracker has several benefits, some of which include alerting people in or near the conflict areas of recent fighting and helping aid agencies in identifying areas that may need humanitarian assistance.

You can view live incident updates on the LRA Crisis Tracker website now, in real-time.
