It is patently impossible for a European man to be Ras Tafari.
Having said this, I will add; any man on earth can live the principles of Ras Tafari because good living is the commandment of God for all men to aspire to. However the reality of Ras Tafari is the Black man’s Alone.
In the same way that there are Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Arab and European believes or traditions that are unique to their cultural experiences, the same holds true for the African(Blackman).

Ras Tafari is not a religion as much as it is a realization, a remembering. Ras Tafari though it could have been born in Africa was unquestionably born in Jamaica.
It was born when the Africans in Jamaica got a voice and revealed to the world that we had not forgotten our right to return to our, inheritance from the Creator, the Continent of our birth, Africa.
The way of life that we espouse is universal and is the same as any legitimate religious institution that subscribes to the Ancient books of the prophesy (What the white man calls The bible) or the Qur’ran. Or any right living person even if they have never heard of Ras Tafari, the Bible or Quo’ran

As usual the white media has captured Ras Tafari, packaged it, and defined it in a way that distracts us from the main cause and that is to “put right the wrong that we (Africans) are still experiencing”, and that is the broken promise of REPATRIATION. Which honorable man would claim to be free when his children are imprisoned?

Ras Tafari is about repatriation and not religion.
Our way of life is something that has to be addressed because we know that we were enslaved because of turning our backs on the Creator and accepting the ways of Babylon. The word Babylon may be said to mean “others” but it is used as it is in the Bible and the Quo’ran to refer to “worldly” ways that we are all, (Ras Tafari or not) growing tired off.
So even though Ras Tafari was born in Jamaica it is the result of an African experience, “Slavery”, or to be more specific, the enslavement of African men women and children.
(A wrong that has been admitted but never corrected.)

It is therefore natural for Ras Tafari to be in Africa because one does not have to be put in concentration camps all the way in the Caribbean, to be enslaved. Africans have been enslaved at home also. And many conscious Africans realize that it is our life style that has enslaved us.
Hence, Ras Tafari and the emphasis on “live-ity”.

Our beliefs about His Imperial Majesty Haile Selesie I Jah Ras Tafari is not an issue that I can address in this short Contribution and will have to be addressed at another time. I will say however that before Africa was enslaved or Royalty were all representatives of GOD and not politicians representing the white mans system.

Ganja is found in every region of Africa. Many of our heads of state hide and smoke it like little school boys afraid of the white man’s disproval. Some call it a drug like cocaine even though free men know it is a herb like any other of our many herbs and spices. That is what I mean when I say we are enslaved at home also.

Thank you for the positive unifying words about Ras Tafari, but the next time you see a person with dreadlocks DO NOT ASUME that they know Ras Tafari. They are often wolfs in sheep’s clothing or at best just lovers of the music and Bob Marley’s Hollywood image. You may be disappointed or even robbed, as anyone can stop combing their hair and wear a “rasta” wrist band.
Just as a man in a big car with a big house is not necessarily a big man or a clever man and could well be a criminal.
My advice is to always look for live-ity (The Godly heart revealed by deeds), then regardless of color or nationality you will have found God in man (he need not be Ras Tafari).
That is the meaning of ONE LOVE.
A white man cannot call for the return of a life style he has never known. But we can hope that he will eventually learn and understand what true Africans mean by Love.

True Ras Tafari may not have dread locks but he will know LOVE, and understand the call that only an African can make.
“Mayibuye i Afrika”.

African X
One heart of love in Tafari
You don’t have to be Ras Tafari for me to love you. Civilized white men say the same about being white.

"white rasta" is a misnomer
Once a one take up rastafari precept
the burn the degrading titles. "white" has been a degrading title from ever since. On the other hand, whites must own up to the state of whiteness and what that means in the psychological and institutional sense

"Apart from the Kingdom of the Lord there is not on this earth any nation that is superior to any other." Appeal to Leage of Nations, Haile Selassie, June 1936 in Geneva, Switzerland
Rasta say InI including one and all, Rasta is ONE BLOOD, ONE AIM, ONE DESTINY, ONE LOVE, how can we distinguish between people because of their colour of InI skin, Rasta is a way to purify InI heart and set one and all free from Babylon who try to conquer InI day by day. Come together people, so we can live as ONE
"On the question of racial discrimination, the Addis Ababa Conference taught, to those who will learn, this further lesson: That until the philosophy which holds one race superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned: That until there are no longer first-class and second class citizens of any nation; That until the color of a man's skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes; That until the basic human rights are equally guaranteed to all without regard to race; That until that day, the dream of lasting peace and world citizenship and the rule of international morality will remain but a fleeting illusion, to be pursued but never attained" (http://www.rastafarispeaks.com/HIM_UN.html)

I know for a fact that white people cannot become rastafari. That movement was created for black nationalism/religion in the past. Rastafarianism has become a joke because of white people and fake blacks. Sadly this is true of much of the REAL spiritual wisdom of India. True of many of the indegenous spiritual traditions.
Many have to deliberately add disinfo to satisfy white peoples curiousity and send them on their way.

Bob Marley Quote ;Rastafari not a culture, it's a reality ;

Bob Marley: ;Rastaman vibrations gonna cover the earth! Like the water cover the sea! ;

No I understand that Bob is not the "creator of Rasta" Obviously, anyone who knows the roots of the religion knows that. But Bob was one of the greatest teachers of all time, in the language of love, peace, and equality, all of which are cornerstones to the Rasta faith. So if you cant see white people who are ashamed of what their race once did, and supporting the struggle of the African people, standing up against babylon, then you are the oppressor, and you have no reason to be practicing this faith. Even in the time of the slaves many white people fought their own brothers, fathers, cousins, to the death to right the wrong that our people had done. Thats not struggle? Sounds to me like a group of people standing up against Babylon, fighting for what is right.

That said, no I am not a white rasta, I support the rastafari faith, I however choose to not practice religion partly because of the scrutiny that many "rea" rastas would put on me, partly because my feelings of love peace and equality dont mesh into the dislike and the detest that I would see if I were to grow locs, and start praising Jah.

Bob Marley: ;What does rasta mean? Righteousness

First & Foremost, Rasta is NOT a Religion! It is a fundemental way of life, from the Black perspective, free from Babylon's society; which includes repatriation back to Africa. If a "White Rasta" acknowledges the sins of their foreparents, and re-align themselves with movement of Rastafari and the Black Man's Redemption, biblically, spiritually, culturally, and psychologically, then they are welcome within our mansions. Rastafari is MUCH MORE than smoking herb and wearing dreadlocks, and it's not a fashion-trend neither.

People should understand that we have lot of black, indian, white people who are not Rasta. It takes the inner self(heart) for one to be deemed a raster.Just like in christianity, people are taught to forgive yet they revenge, they are told to love but they hate.To be a christian one should receive christ as a redeemer by getting saved, live like christ. The same applies to rastafarianism,we are not interested on who is who;who started it,no.Dreadlocks can't make one a raster nor the colour of skin.Rasta can be any body from any part of the world. It therefore important to understand the principle of the riligion.Like what BOB said "we all bleed red",it means we are family."Lucky dube says the cats and the dogs have forgiven each other wats wrong with us".
